Prices are unchanged from last week. There is a good demand for all lamb, and the market is very firm. Canterbury branch are quoted .at s|d, and other than CantsrLury at ligd per lb. There is a better demand for beef. ■Sjpplies of American chilled beef are Ismail. New Zealand hindquarters arj quoted at and fores at 3Jd per ■lb.
The butter market is very firm. 'The'Tongariro shipment arrived in | goo.l condition. Choicest New Zea- ] '.land is quoted at 114 a, Danish 117s, .Siberian 108a'per cwt. The cheese market is very firm, t White makes are quoted at 64s and ■CDloured at 69s per cwt. The hemp market i 3 quiet but firm. Good fair, oil spot, is quoted at £27 10j; fair grade, £25; fair current Manila, £24 per ton. For forward I 9 Thfe cocksfoot seed market is quiet, I Ind buyer 3 are nut keen to do buai%?.S9.. The American crop is expected to be light. • There i 3 a much better demand for wool.
