A MURDEROUS ASSAULT.
PRISON WARDER ATTACKED
Received June 29, 10.20 a.m. SYDNEY, June 29,
Three prisoners—one a Chinese — were cutting wood at Cootamundra prison. They were in charge of Warder Brown, and while Brown's back was turned the Chinese cut him down with an axe.
The other two prisoners secured the Chinese.
Brown is in a critical condition
