Jessop was twelfth in the English batting averages last season. TRIANGULAR MATCHES. MR ABE BAILEY STILL HOPEFUL. Received Juna 29, 1.45 a.m. LONDON, June 28. Mr Abe Bailey, interviewed, said he was still hopeful that the triangular cricket matches would eventuate next year. The attitude of the Australians in pressing for a visit next year, and not desiring an Imperial contest appeared exceedingly inconsistent.
