REVENUE IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT. The rapid progress of settlement in "Wellington province is well exemplified by the details now available 01 tfchd territorial revenue received from tiyv Wellington land district during tt-ffyinancial year juat ended. There ha 3 baen an increase of £25,293, the te;al revenue'having been £97,262 Bi. This big improvement on the pr.vious year's figures, is mainly due to further land being made available for settlement. The biggest Items aire £9,352 derived from cash sales of Crown ilands, and £19,232 paid by 'O.R.P. tenant3Who took opportunity of exercising their option pf ac'quiring the freehold. A large number of occupation with right of purchase tenancies in Wellington land district have nbw been held ten yeaiM, thus enabling holders to exertcise their power of purchase.
