WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Education" Board was held on Thursday. There were presentMessrs R. Lee (chairman), A. W. Hogg, M.P., J. G. W. Aitken, .M.P?, A. H. Vile, J. Kebbell, W. H. JField, M.P., and Captain McDonald. Permissionn was granted for the 'erection of a wire fence between the residence and play ground at Clare•villa, also the planting of a hedge. V Applications were referred to the clerk of works for reports, as follows Waingawa, roofing; Mastert<?n, cisterns; Paraparaumu, washhouse; Balance,'fencing. The request of the Wairarapa •School Committees Association to be provided with parti-ulars of the manual and technical accounts was defined. A suggestion that Tane and Rongomai schools should be amalgamated is to be forwarded to the cummitteoi interested for consideration. The report of Mr W. C.
