STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held a very successful clearing sale on Thursday on account of Mesrss Tully Bros., at Papawai. There was a good attendance of buyers from all over the district, and bidding was brisk throughout the sale, everything being sold at good values. We quote as fol-lows:—Sheep—2-tooth ewes in lamb 17s 6d, f.f.m. ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 14s 3d, forward 2-tooth ewes lis 3d, forward 2-tooth wethers 13s, lambs 8s lOd, Romney rams 2£ guineas, Southdown rams 2 guineas, E-L rams 1 guinea, E-L 2tooth ewes 1 guinea. Cattle—Fat and forward cows £3 ss, fat and forward steers £5 2s 6d, Ayrshire cow £5 ss, Ayrshire heifers £5 ss, cows in milk £2 10s to £4, calves 18s. Horses—Yearling gelding by Somerled £l6, yearling filly by Saracen £ls, 3 and 4-year-old fillies and geldings by Saracen £lO to £l4, mares in foal £6 7s Gd to £9. The thoroughbred stallion "Saracen" was offered, but elected no bid, and is now for private sale.
