Hunter, in the course of which he said it was very probable—and all hoped earnestly it would come to pass—that the Rev. Hodge would be the resident minister of the Church in Masterton.
. The Rev. Hodge then gave a very interesting address on the functions of the Church, and he exhorted his hearers to pray earnestly that the work of the Church would prosper in Masterton, and that whoever was appointed to the charge\of the pastorate would be blessed in nis labour.
An address was also given by Mr F. T. Redman.
An excellent supper was provided, and a very pleasant evening concluded with the singing of the "Doxology."
