OTAGO TRADES COUNCIL.
DUNEDIN,
Messrs A. Palmer, G. Parkes and A. Tuffin, were elected emergency delegates to represent the Otago 'lrades and Labour Council at the conference to be hold in Wellington on 20th July. Messrs Breen and Westwood, the originally appointed delegates, cannot attend, and it is possible that Mr J. Haynes will also he unable to attend, hence the above election.
Tiid Council lait night passed the following resolution: —-"That this Council endorse the amendment of the Factories Act passed last session providing for a minimum weekly wage without deduction for fac:ory workers, and strongly urges upon the Government to resist any attempt made in the direction of having the amendment repealed."
