PECULIAR POISONING CASE.
CFIRISTCHURCH, June 24. A peculiar poisorng case occurred on the Broken Kiver-Chr'utchavct! train to-day. John Smith, guard, feeling thirsty, purchased a bottle of lemonade at Darfield. After drinking some of the contents he was suddenly taken ill, and oi the arrival of the train at Christchurch was taken co the hospital. Another pers-in who took a portion of the lemonade was also atfectod, but obtained relief by Inducing vo:niting.
