FARMERS' IMPLEMENT COMPANY.
/ANNUAL MEETING
TKe 'annual meeting of the Masterton Farmers' Implement Company \vaa held on Saturday, Mr Wm. sPerry, Chairman of Directors, in the The Chairman moved the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the latter showing a profit on f.he year's working of £632 6a Bd. He said that last year's profit was carried forward, and recommended a similar course this year. The Directors were guaranteeing the bank overdraft, and t hey thought the policy pursued the .best way to liquidate the account. The increasing necessity for removal to the Company's own site also made it imperative for the projected removal to be suf ported by amply sufficient funds. The Company was yearly increasing in strength, though no dividends were declared. The small • amount of shares held per member ;made the carrying forward of profits .little hardship. . - A short discussion ensued on the ; balance-sheet, which was finally sppted. Messrs J. Elliott and B. R. Rayner were re-elected directors and Mr J. B. Keith auditor for the ensuing year. Votes of thanks were accorded the directors and staff. Mr W. B. Chennells, in reply on behalf of the latter, ■ stated that in the course of a year or two the concern would be found to be in a very flourishing state, with its staff—now capable of dealing with a much larger business than •wa3 forthcoming—goirg at its full -capacity. The meetiw? then adjourned.
