PAN-ANGLICAN CONGRESS.
ADDRESS ON THE MAORIS. "IRISHMEN WITH BROWN FACES." Rpceived June 22, 8.56 a.m. LONDON, June-21. The Most Rev. Dr. Clarke, Archbishop of Melbourne, presided at a Pan-Anglican meeting, attended-by 4,000 persons, which discussed "Monopolies." Other sections debated "New Fiction' and "Present Day Journalism." Dr. Frodsham, Bishop of North Queensland, pleaded for mere Christian work among Australian aborigines. , Mrs Neligan, wife of Dr. Neligan, Bishop of Auckland, gave a sympathetic address on the Maoris, whom she described as Irishmen with brown faces. There was a brilMant garden party at Windsor. The King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, and Ambassadors and Ministers werts present, and eight thousand persons attended.
