WANGANUI, June 19
Sir Joseph Ward arrived from New Plymouth by to-night's train. He left again by the goods train for Palmerston North, where he will catch the early morning train for Wellington. With the exception of his visit to Wairarapa next week the Premier will settlu down ir. Wellington till after the session.
WOOD-TURN ING FACTORY BURNED.
CHKISTCHUUCH, June 19. A small wood-iurning factory in Tuarn street, belonging to H. Smith, was destroyed by fire to-night. The machinery and stock were insured for £l5O, and the building, which was owned by Waller and Son, timber merchants, for £IOO, both in the Standard office.
