AN ECCENTRIC LADY.
Banknotes glued to the floor, and money Concealed in all sorts of rubbiih, 'were the surprising features of an estata case which engaged the Dublin Chancery Division recently. Messrs Adam and Co., auctioneers and valuers, Dublin, were claiming against the estate of Miss Elizabeth Mugan, an eccentric lady, who resided in County Meath,' for services rendered. After the lady'a de'ath no will could be found, and it was thought sha had died intestate. At the request of the solicitor for the person who was beliaved to be the next-of-kin, Meaara Adam and Co. went to MiasJMLagan'a late residence for the Durjpse of making an inventory of the property. From November Bth to December 16th, said cnuistl, they Wdre going through the most extraorJitiary accumulation of papers, documents, and valuable property tha,t filled every room in the house, and even the hall. The accumulation •was such that it was only with the .greatest difficulty that they were •able to get into the house. In the -course of their work Messrs Adam found the will of the deceased, and under that will charitias would beneiflt to a considerable amount. Messrs .Adam had recovered an immense amount of property, including in banknotes and securities of every kind. The Master of the ißolls, in allowing the claim, said •every room and corridor was piled ihjgn with loose papers, boxes, and rparcels of all sizes and descriptions, "\ and the litter on Mie stairs was almost kiwis-deep.-,. Various sums of money wer.i found in very peculiar and unlikely places. His Lordship said the racord read like the inventory ■of a robber's cave. Suras of money | were found in rubbish on the floors, in tand-boxes, and in a purse, and two banknotes for £1 were found! gluad to the floor.
