EVANS-PIKE. A quiet, but .pretty weddii g was celebrate') at the Presbyterian Church, Wellington, on Friday Lift, tho contracting parties being Mr W. A. Evans, eldest son of Mr F. Evan-, of Upper and Miss Nellie Pike, youngest daughter of Mrs John Pike, of Te Whiti. The bride looked handsome in a dress of white silk trimmed with cream silk insertion and lace, and she wore a hat to match trimmed with ostrich tipj and white silk ribbons. Miss Jejsie Evans, sister of the bridajyroom, was bridesmaid, and Mr F. Jeffreys was best man. Mr and Mrs Evans received a large number of valuable presents, testifying to their popularity. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue tailor-made costume with hat to match.
