A NO PARTY POLICY
STRENGTHENING THE NATIONAL SENTIMENT. I Received June 15, 10.40 p.m. BERLIN, June 15. Herr De J agon, Governor of Danzig (a great seaport and forhvss, and capi talofWest Prussia), presiding at a meeting of the German Navy League, said that the Government desired to see the League consolidated not dissolved, but rendered independent, and not regarded as an appendage of the Ministry of Marine. The League passed a resolution to pursue a no-party policy, but to aim at strengthening the national sentiment. The League elected Prince Otto Salmhorstmar president. General Klun, who early in the year resigned the presidency of the League, declined the office.
PRINCE HENRY'S CONGRATULATIONS. Received June 15, 9.36 p.m. BERLIN, June 15. Prince Henry of Prussia has warmly congratualted the German Navy League for placing the Fatherland above) private interests. He hoped that they would succeed by quiet and united labour in fully persuading the people of Germany of the necessity for strengthening a national work.
