CHINESE SEAMEN.

LANGUAGE TEST TO BE IMPOSED. Received June 15, 8.20 a.m. LONDON, June 14. Mr Winston Churchill, President of the Board of Trade, replying to a seamen's deputation, said he intended to stop the increase of Chinese seamen in United Kingdom ports. The Minister said he had prepared a circular imposing a language test. If that, was unsuccessful he would look to other methods.
