SEVERE THUNDERSTORM

By Telegraph —Pre3s Association. HOKITIKA, June 15. A heavy thunderstorm early on Sunday morning caused considerable damage to the telegraph line, several poles being shalteied. Hckitika Post Offioe had a narrow escape from damage by fire, a gaspipe in the tt-lenhone room being melted and the gaj fired by the electric current. The lire was fortunately found early in the morning before serious damage had been done. The weather is very c<;kl. Ther-j has been a h -avy fall of si.ow on the ranges.
