SHEEP-BREEDING AND WHEATGROWING.

The advantages of combining sheepkeeping and wheat-growing is being fully realised by the Government of Western Australia. With a view to encourage the farmers of the Stite to adopt the practice, the Minister of Agriculture has imported 14,000 ewes from the Eastern States for distribution. These sheep are supplied to farmers, wheat-growers, oil easy terms extending over two years, so that by the time the final payment falls due the farmer should have obtained sufficient from the sale of the wool and lambd to meet all engagement 3 , besides having the original stock and a balance to the good.
