Received June ]O, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, June 10. .an epidemic of dysentery in the Ellice Islands is causing great mortality among the natives. Over one hundred and fifty deaths are reported. INCREASING GROWTH OF DIVORCE. Received June 10, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, June 10. As showing the increasing growth of divorce in th« State, it is reported that for the present term eighty-one cases have been listed, fifty-two of them being undefended.
CHARGE OF FALSE PRETENCES. Received June 11, 12.55 a.m. SYDNEY, June 10. A passenger by has been arrested on a charge of false pretences. He has been remanded for the production of the necessary papers from New Zealand.
