AUSTRALIAN FAUNA.
LARGE CONSIGNMENT SENT HOME. Rereiyed June 9, 8.8 a.m. LONDON, June 8. A collection of seven hundred Australian mammals, reptiles, and birds intended for exhibition in England, has arrived safely. "The Times" applauds the success of the shipment, but regrets the absence of specimens of the Platypus, Tasmanian wolves, lyrebirds, and frilled lizards.
