WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sale:—We offered a small quantity of wool and skins, 450 hides and a quantity of tallow horsehair. Wool—Market remains steady at last sale rates., We -quote:— Medium crossbred 3d to 4Jd, inferior 2d to 3d, lambs wool 4d to sd, pieces and locks Id to 2d. Skins—Market steady with no quotable change. We quote:— Fine crossbreds 4d to 4Jd, crossbred 3d to 4d, dead skins 2d to 3d, dead hoggets ljd to 2Jd, dry pelts Id to 'lid, lamb skins 3d to 4Jd, green pelts 2s to 3*, green lambs (woolly) 2i to 3s, grean lamb pelts Is to Is 9.1. Tallow—Steady. Parcels in shipping order £22, tins £ls to £l9, rough fat £lO to £l3. Horsehair—ls to Is 3d per lb. Horns—ss to 17s 6d par hundred. Cowlaite—ls 6d to Is 8 I per dozen. Hides -We had a good catalogue of well-conditi tned hides, which met with excelhnc competition at an advance of one farthing per lb. fjr heavies and mediums, and one half-penny for lights. We quote :- Ox hides (heavy) 6d to Gfd, ox hides (medium) 6d to OJd, ox hides (light) 4d to 5Jd, cow hides 3j|d <o 4§d, cut and slippy hides 2d to 3Jd, stag hides 2Jd to 3|d, bull Hides 2d to 3d, calf (best) 4d to s&d, calf (cat and slippy) 2d to 3d. Oar naxt sate will be held on Friday, June 19th. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held our fortnightly sale on Friday, and offered a small catalogue ot skins, hides, ta!b»v, etc. We did not offer any wool, as we are holding for a later sale. There was a good demand for skins and hides at prices equal to last salss rates. Wc qnte—Sheepskins -Halfbred 4Jd to 5J 1 per lb, crossbred 3Jd to 4rl, limbs. 3J to 4|d, pelts 2Jd to 3|d, damaged skins Id to 2jd,-green skins Is 9d to 23 7J each. Hides— Light ox 4d to 421 per lb, cow 3Jd to 4Jd, calf' (a rand) 4Jd to sd, calf (faulty) id to 8J I, hides (cut and slippy) 2Jd to 3d. I Tallow—ln tins 15s to lbs per cwt. i Me33rs Dalgety and' Co., Ltd., report as follows;—We held our forinightly sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow on Friday, a good catalogue of #ll classes being submitted. The demand for skins showed a slight improvement on last sale, but green and damp skins were easier. Prices , for heavy hides were not quite up to j last sale rates, but light sorts were firmer. We quota as follows: Sheepskins. Full-woolled crossbred 3Jd' to 4jd, cross-bred (djad and brnken) 3d to 3jd, fine crossbred (broken) 3Jd, crossbred (short) 3id to 3Jd, Imlfbred 3Jd to sd, halfbred (short) 2fd to 3|d, pelts 2Jd, lambo 4Jd. lambs (short and seedy) 2Jd to 3d, lamos (dead and broken) 3d to 3R (damp) Is 5:1 to 2s 6d, lamn (dump) Is 9d t) 23, cros3bred (salced) U 1 Od to 3s. Hides—64lbs to 72lba SJ-d to 6Jd per lb, 47lbs to 541bs 4|d to Aid, 40lbs 4Jd, cut and scored (55lbs to 611ns) 5d to 6|d. Cows, 63lbs 5R 511bs 4|d, 411bs to 42lbs 4|d to 4|d, cut and slippy 3d to 3gd. Yearlings, 13lba 4d, yearling heifers 24lbs 3gd, calf (cut) 3d to 3&d. Tallow—ln shipping order £23 53 to £23 15s per ton, in tins 22s to 22s 3d per cwt.
