THE PREMIER.

CHRISTCHURCH, June 7. In the course of his speech at Oxford, on Friday night, the Pramier deliv3red a eulogism of the late General Sir Redvers Buller, and stated that on behalf of the people of the Dominion he had sent a message of condolence to the General's widow. The Premier received several deputations at Oxford on Saturday, and afterwards proceeded to Cheviot, where he was entertained at a social by the County Council. A vote of thanks and confidence in the Go.'eminent was passed unanimously.
