BRITISH TEAM'S TOUR. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Jun* 4. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, tc-night, appointed Mr J. Duncan referee in Saturday's test match New Zealand v. Britain. W. J. Wilson was appointed jet'eree for the -British-South Canterbury match, and P. Mackie for the British - Canterbury match. The manager of the British team is to be asked to give the British team for the various matches to the Press at his earliest convenience. BY TRIjKCHtAI'H—fIIBSS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, June 4. The Rugby Union expects to net £SOO out of the match Britain v. Southland. The attendance was between nine and ten thousand.

BY TKMMKATH PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, June 4. The Auckland Rugby Union received to-day a protest for conveyance to the New Zealand Rugby Union from the Rotorua Union against the match between the Dominion Maori team and the British footballers, which is to be played at Rotorua, being arranged by a body (the Maori Association) not affiliated to the New Zealand Rugby Union. The Rotorua Union consider that the right of arrangement belongs to them, and object to being ignored by the parent body, and the powers delegated to an outside body. The protest was forwarded on by telegraph to-day to the New Zealand Rugby Union.
