A CHILD MURDERED. SEVEN HUNDRED DETECTIVES SEARCHING. Received June 2, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, June 1. The mutilated body of Marie Bailes, aged years, who had lived at Islington, was found in a public lavatory at the Elephant and Castle Hotel. The body was wrapped in brown paper. The child is supposed to have been murdered by a madman or an epileptic. Seven hundred dstectives are searching for the murderer.
