BRITISH RAILWAYS.
PROPOSED JOINT WORKING BILL. Received June 2, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, June 1. The "British Railway News" announces that the Great Central, Great Northern and Great Eastern Railway Companies, with a capital of one hundred and sixty millions, and owning 2,408 miles of railways, propose to introduce a joint working Bill. It is reported that the Board of Trade does not object to the scheme.
