LATE FOOTBALL.
THE MAORI TEAM IN AUSTRALIA. NORTHERN UNION GAME FAVOURED. Received June 2, 1.53 a.m. SYDNEY, June 1. The Maori footballers will play the Northern Union game during their tour of New South Wales. After witnessing a couple of matches, and themselves practising the Northern game, the Maori team took a vote on the matter, which favoured the new game in place of Rugby. The Rugby League has determined to countenance no other game but Northern Union game, and any team visiting the State under the League's auspices will bs expected to abide by the decision.
