Received May 29, 9.35 p.m. LONDON, May 29. The manufacturers section of the London Chamber of Commerce has expressed regret at the Commonwealth Senate re-imposing the duty on trade catalogues and price 1 lists which it is calculated to hinder and restrict trade. Sir Edward Grey states that Britain has invited the chief naval powers to a conference at London in the autumn to discuss the rules of blockage and contraband before ratifying the prize court convention. Private property at the sea is not included. The directors of the Orient Steam Navigation Company announce that they will shortly ask shareholders to increase the capital of the company. The Chancellor of the Exchequer (the Right Hon. D. Lloyd-George) has instituted a Go/ernmenfc fund for affording hospitality to foreign visitors.
