A SHARP FIGHT. CAMPAIGN NEARLY ENDED. Received May, 27, 8.22 a.m. CALCUTTA, May 26. General Sir James Willcocks destroyed a great deal of Mohmand property, including the residence of Gund, a mullah, and chief leader of the revolt. He also dispersed a gathering of two thousand Utman Khel tribesmen opposite ICaregta with a few rounds of shell, after a sharp fight with some of the fanatics, of whom fifty were killed. The campaign has neaidy closed. It is expected the cost will be £200,000. All the Mohmands have oubmitted. ONE HUNDRED TRIBESMEN KILLED. THE REMAINDER SUBMIT. Received May 27, 8.48 a.m. CALCUTTA, May 26. The Utman Khel tribesmen lost one hundred men in the recent fighting. They have tendered their submission, offering to pay any fine demanded. They numbered 3,000. Their position was easily turned. The 53rd Sikhs seized the crest of the hills, and th» tribesmen were exposed to shrapnel, Maxim and magazine rifle fire.
