METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for . the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.—Westerly, strong to gale at all Dlnces north of Napier, Tatipo, :and Kawhia; southerly, strong to galo after 16 hours thence to Cape/ Campbell and earlier in tho" South Island. Barometer.- Fall, hut rising after ten houra at all places northward of Nsjper and New Plymouth, rising emptier thence southwards. Raiir is probable generally and with much colder weather. Warning signal for westerly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, East Cape, and lor southerly gale at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit and Nugf «ets.
