STATEMENT RE MARROWS GROWN ON MR SIMPSON'S PROPERTY.

We, the undersigned, at Mr Courtney's request viewed the marrows on Mr Simpson's section in Tauranga, and in our presence Mr Ward measured the ground, which is 14ft by 9ft. We carefully examined the vines, and the marrows are as nature placed them on the land, and the following are the weights of each marrow as weighed on the ground in our presence and photographed with Mr Simpson, the grower:—33, 48, 40, 17, 58, 36. 70, 41, 48, 36, 28, 21, 19 and 25Ibs; total, 519 lbs.
