METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Ed* win issued the following fprecast for the subsequent 24 hours:— Wind. Westerly, moderate to strong at all places north of Napier, Taupo, and Kawhia; southerly, moderate to strong elsewhere. Barometer. —Rise everywhere. Rain is prooable in most parts of the North Island . Warning signal for westerly gale is exhibited at East Cape. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours, up till/9 a.m. on Tuesday, wa3 8 points.
