METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m, yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours !-- Wind—Northerly, strong to gale at all places northward of Napier, Taupo and Raglan; easterly strong to gale other parts of the North Island after ten hours, extending southward to Lyttelton and Hokitika af.tfr 16» hours, but northerly strong to gale elsewhere after 10 hours. everywhere. Rain is probable everywhere. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape, and at Nugget Point, but fot easterly gale at Capes Campbell, Foulwind and Farewell Spit.
