Mr Keir Hardie, speaking at Bristol and referring to Empire Day, decla-ed that Socialists nvght have interfered to prevent children in the schools being taught to wave flags and sing a ghastly bit of doggerel like the National Anthem. # Most of the Prime Ministers throughout the Empire sent Home messages of congratulation on Empire Day. THE MEATH TROPHY. Received May 25, 10.40 p.m. LONDON,, May 25. Two teams of English schoolboys shot for the Meath Trophy. One, composed of boys of the average age of 13 years y months, scored 862 points, and the second team, composed of hoys 9 months older, scored 860. Wormald, of the Swan Street School (City) scored 118.
