STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a very good sale at Kopuaranga yesterday, although all the sheep advertised did not come forward there was a good yarding and bidding was fairly brisk throughout. There were several lines offered that were in good condition, and were well competed for, and the bulk of the entry changed hands under the hammer, and several lots were sold privately after the sale. Cattle came forward in good numbers, and were dull of sale but several lots found buyers up to market rates. Good forward lambs fetched up to 10s, and slightly inferior lines from 6s 6d to 7s lOd; fat ewes to lis 3d; forward wethers 13s lOd; and forward ewes to Bs. Ewes in lamb did not fetch up to Drevious market rates. Empty cows, heifers (poor lot) to 355; calves lis to 13s; steers, backward, £3. Tho line of dairy cows brought practically no competition at auction, but several of the lines were sold after at good prices. Horses were very dull of sale. Implements and sundries brought full market values.
