FAMINE IN EAST AFRICA.
THOUSAND DEATHS REPORTED. Received May 18, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, May 17. The "Daily Mail" states that the failure of the banana crop from Busoga, northwards to Lake Victoria Nyanza has caused a famine and a thousand deaths. The Government at Uganda is feeding the people.
