UNITED STATES CURRENCY QUESTION.
SATISFACTORY PROPOSED.
Received May 13, 10.54 p.m. LONDON, May 13. Telegrams received here from Washington indicate that there is a prospect of fairly satisfactory currency legislation passing in the shape of a Bill authorising the establishment of a Banking Association for the purpose of issuing an emergency circulation amounting to £100,000,000, based on securities including commercial paper held by national banks.
