SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
Ths annual competitions of the Bush Districts Dog Trial Club were held at Oringi station, near Dannevirke, last week, in unfavourable weatner, with the following results:—
Class 1., heading and bringing back and holiing in ring; possible points 30— R. Grant's (Porangahau) Tip, 29 points, 1; J. McDonald's Don, 28 points, 2; W. Pringle's Fife, 27 points, 3; P. G. L. MeKenzie's Lad, 25 point?, 4. Twenty-four dogs competed. Class 11., heading, bringing back and driving through one set of hurdles 9ft apart, and drive 50 yards to pen and yard; points 40— R. Grant's Tip, 40 points, 1; J. McDonald's MiH'k, 39 points, 2; W. Pringle's Fife, 38 points, 3; J. McDonald's Don, 37 points, 4. Twenty-four competitors. CladS 111., huntaway, 340 yards, between three lots of flags; points 30 —J. Snooker, 27 points, 1; C. W. Thorn's Ben, 24 points, 2. These were only dogs that scored, out of 14 competitors. . Claa3 IV., heading, 440 yards, bringing back and yarding; open lo dogs chat haJ never won money, and were owned by farmers or drovers; point* 30. G. W. Thorn's Tweed, 23 points, 1; D. J.
