SAN FRANCISCO'S BIG RECEPTION PROGRAMME. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCLKAND, May 11. A Washington despatch of March 24th stated that the United Stafc3 Cabinet had decided to accept (he invitation of China to have the Atlantic Lattieship fleet visit part of that country on its return from the Pacific Coast. Invitations so far accepted include Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and China. All other stops will be strictly for coaling purposes. The San Francisco reception committee had adopted a programme including:—May 6th, a reception and a ball in connection with the opening of tho club house for enlisted men, etc.; May 7th, parade reception by the Governor and Mayor, Governor's banquet, the first of nine informal receptions, the first of band concerts, May Bth, review of the fleet by the Secretary of the Navy (Mr Metcalf), games in the Stadium, boat races, banquet to commanding officers; May 9th, Oakland day; May 10th, Yacht Club cruise, religious services; May 11th, auto-ride for 400 officers, observations, car ride for one thousand enlisted men, x-eception and ball, boat races for Bittenberg Cup, which is the big Navy event; May 12th, children's day—3s,ooo children to visit the battleships; May 13th, a day of athletics at the Stadium; May 14th, Berkeley day dinner by graduates to the U.S. Naval Academy; May 15th, Sante Rose day, unassigned events, which will include reception by native sons and native daughters, etc.
