The Premiers' Conference waited all day vainly for Mr A. Deakin's promised financial proposals. It is believe:! that the Federal Government are nervous with regard to presenting them, and rear a hostile reception. The Conference refolve.d that lighthouses should be provided on the Australian and T'asmanian coasts; that the matter is an urgent and pressing necessity and tint; the Fvderal Government should lie -asked to take definite action in the matter.
