FATAL ACCIDENT.

WELLINGTON, May 3. The Police Inspector is advised by telegraph from Havelock of a fatal accident having occurred yesterday morning at Canvastown about five miles from Havelock, the victim being Rasmussen Simonsen, 63 years of age, a resident of Canvastown. Simonsen was driving a vehicle, and in trying to pass a timber wagon on a narrow road, collided and was thrown under the wagon, the wheels passing over his chest. He was killed instantly.
