THE MATSUSHIMA DISASTER.
THE DEATH ROLL. Received May 3, 4.18 p.m. TOKIO, May 2. Twenty-three officers belonging to the Matsushima, 33 cadets and warrant officers, and 150 seamen perished in the recent disaster.
An explosion sank the training cruiser Matsushima, off the Pescadores Islands, in Formosa Channel, last week.
