HOMING PIGEON MATCH.

The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club flew a race from Dannevirke on Saturday. Seventeen birds, representing four lofts, competed, the following birds being placed:— Mr J. Bradbury's Jack, 806.3 yards per minute, 1. Mr H. F. Billington's South Star, 655.8 yards, 2. Mr H. Lett's Star Queen, 598 yards, 3. Mr H. L. Pickett's Valore, 846.1 yards, 4. Mr J. H.
