A SHOCKING ACCIDENT.
1!Y TEIiEOIUPH—PIIKHH ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, April 30. A shocking accident occurred at ith<? railway station to-ni<>ht. Aa the '9 o'clock train was drawing into the ■station a man, named Albert Benerfield, aged 30, and married, who owns ■■■a fruiterer's ahop in the Avenue, fell between the carriages. His left arm wag cut off above the elbow, and his rloft leg mangled below the knee. The •unfortunate man was dragged*about seventeen yards, and the injured limbs were horribly mutilated. His head was also injured, and the doctor holds out no hope of recovery.
