Messrs Levin and Company, Limited report as follows regarding Fii.day's sale:—'We offered a small quantity of wool in bales and bags, 1,700 skins, 500 hides and a quantity .of tallow and horsehair. Wool.— Market remains steady at last sale rates. We quote: Medium crossbred, 4Jd to sd; inferior, 3d to 4d ; lambs wool, 4d to sd; pieces, 2d to 3d; locks, Id to 2d. Skins.—No .change to record. We quote: Fine •CNMsbreds, 5d to s|d; crossbred, 3[d to sd; dead skins, 3d to 'did; dean •hoggets, 2Jd to Sjd; dry pelts, 2d o 2&d; lamb skins, 4d to 4£; green pelts, 2s to 2s 8d; green iambs woolly; 2s to 2s 8d; green lamb pelts Is to Is 7d. Cabled reports from London anticipate a further drop at the forthcoming sicc'pskin sales. We quote: Wool —Medium merino, to 6Ad per lb; medium and coarse crossbred, 4d to sd; inferior and seedy crossbred, to iUd; crutchings and pieces, bag lotr, Id to 3d; dead, in ba" lota, 33d to 43d. Sheepskins:— Crojsfcrad, full wool, 4dto4£d; halt wco's, 3Jd to 3£d; pelts, 2Jd to 3d; damaged, Jd to 2sd; pelts, green, lr, to ta 8d; lamb', Is 3d to 23. Hides.—Only a few damaged lo's were offered for which late rates were obtained. Tallow. • —Medium mixed, in shipping order, to 23s cwt., medium in tins and odd packages, to 20s 6d cwt.
