MASTERTON COUNTY. Proposal to raise a Loan under "Tbo Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901," and its Amendments. is hereby given of the intenJIN tion of the Masterton County Council, subject to tbo consent of- the Ratepayers being obtained thereto by Poll, to raise a Loan under the above mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing Head Works and distributing races in connection with a Water Supply for the Opaki Water Supply District. The sum proposed to be borrowed for the said purpose is .£2500. The currency of the loan is to be a period of 21 years, and the proposed security will be a special rate of one penny in the pouud on the rateable value for the time being of sOl rateable property within the said /Water-race District, as defined in the special order made by the Council on the Bth day of June, 1905 constituting the said District—but, excepting therefrom one hundred and forty three acres of land, being parts of Sections 63 to 69, 65 and 56, Blocks I Otahoua, and XIII Kopuaranga Survey Districts in the occupation of Mr Alfred Matthews. The cost of raising the loan is to be a charge upon the money borrowed. A meeting of Ratepayers for the purpose of considering the proposal will be convened in accordance with the provisions of law, and notice of the time and place of such meeting will be given in due course.
