MR STEAD'S ILLNESS.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 26. Mr Geo. G. Stead was reported to be slightly better yesterday evening. WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL , ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, April 26. The annual meeting of the Wanganui Agricultural Association was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr J. T. Sinclair, for many years a prominent official, was elected President. The report and" balance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory state of affairs, though there is a debit at the bank of £B3l. The assets over liabilities avi £1,532. During the year £2ll' was spent on permanent improvements, including turnstiles, cloakroom and some improvements to the produce shed. In addition to this, the ban of £2OO has been repaid, as well as £504 accounts outstanding at end of last year. The Association now has 105 life and 720 ordinary members.
