THE CONTROLLER OF CHINESE CUSTOMS.
Received April 24, 9.35 a.m. PEKIN, April 23. Sir Robert Hart, after forty-five years' control of the Chinese Customs, has started for England on a year's leave of absence. It is not expected that he will return. Sir Robert received a tre.nendous send-off from Pekin.
