SINKING OF A BRITISH STEAMER.
COMPENSATION AWARDED

The Supreme Prize Court at St. Petersburg over-ruled the Liban Prize Court's decision, and allowed £131,400 compensation for the sinking of the British steamer Ikhona, during the Russo-Japanese war, by the Russian cruiser Terek. The Court ruled that while the Terek wan justified in stopping the Ikhona she ought to have allowed her to proceed.
