At 9 a.m. yesterday. Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours : Wind.—Westerly, strong to gale north'uf New Plymouth and Napier; southerly, strong to gale thence southward after from 20 to 16 hours. Barometer.—Little movement for ten hours; rising evei*ywhereofterwards. Rain is probable everywhere, and snow in the high country after 20 hours; colder weather is to be expected. Warning signals for westerly gale are exhibited at Capes Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, East Cape, Farewell Spit, Foulwind, and Cape Campbell, and for southerly at Nugget3t «__
