THE JAPANESE GIRL.

TOWN HALL, TO-NIGHT. The production of the operetta, "The Japanese Girl," at the Town Hall this evening, by local artists, should be a pupular holiday attraction. The piece has been actively rehearsed, and being composed of catchy and tuneful music, will doubtless meet with an appreciative reception. The costumes and setting are of the quaint and tasteful Japanese order, and special care has been taken to make the scenic details perfect. Some charming solos will be heard in the first act, notably a soprano solo, "Singing Bird," by the leading character. Some pretty choruses run through act 2, and some of the best spectacular effects. The cast of characters includes the following well-known and popular amateurs:—O Hanu San, Miss Vera EJwards; O Kitu San, Miss Fuller; O Kayo San ,Miss Hood; Chaya, Miss Read;' Nora and Dora Twinn, Misses E. Jepson and O. Richards; Miss Minerva Knowall, Miss F. Elkins. The stage manager is Mr S. Earee, the pianiste Miss Elsie Richards, and the organist Miss Waddington. Mr H. S. Claughton is conductor.
